SIAS Xantus ®
SIAS
Xantus is a modular liquidhandlingsystem of hardware
and
software modules. A full range of options and modules
for liquid handling, detection, separation can be
easily integrated with racks and carriers on the worktable
allowing fast adaptation to ever changing needs.
The arm configuration
can be chosen to optimize device access. You can even
have a robotic manipulator arm. The arm can transport
microplates to readers and plate washers, whether
they are located on, beside or beneath the worktable
and, if necessary, to a wide range of additional devices
such as carousels, incubators or conveyors.
Total flexibility has been built into the Xantus.
A open platform. that can be adapted easily to handle
a wide range of applications. To match different throughput
and capacity needs, the optimal worktable size may
be selected from different lengths (100,150 and 200
cm).

SheadEASY controls all the components of the robotic
system, simplifying procedures from high-throughput
screening to nucleic acid extraction. Its dynamic
scheduler gives the system maximum flexibility and
robustness.In the
SheadEASY Process Manager with its Outlook style interface
processes can be defined by simply dragging icons
onto the workarea. After definition the user can simulate
processes with the Prescheduler. The SheadEASY Explorer
allows easy management of theSheadEASY database as
well as configuration of all devices on the robotic
system. The SheadEASY Master Control Program lets

Xantus configured for
ELISA tests. this setup is very compact The standard
Xantus platform can be used to automate ELISA setup,
and when combined with appropriate functional modules
(incubator, washer and reader) can perform the complete
assay. Those wishing to automate the pipetting only
can choose from a range of Xantus deck sizes and options
depending on the capacity requirements. However, a
fully automated ELISA platform is also available.
bot, based on the Sias Xantus platform, is a compact
and fully automated ELISA system, designed for all
applications.
The Xantus automates
the complete ELISA protocol, from pipetting through
incubation, washing and reading. Featuring semi-automated
bar code reading of samples, plates and reagents,
comprehensive software tracks sample identification
from receipt to result, and enables processing by
batch or by worklist. SheadEASY Dynamic Run Manager
schedules the steps of each assay before the run commences,
and also provide a real time update of the test/plate
process sequence. Although the footprint is relatively
small (width 112 cm, height 72 cm, depth 77 cm) the
elisa robot accommodates 160 samples, 6 diluents and
90 reagents. Up to 4 plates can be simultaneously
incubated at different temperatures,
and the system can schedule and process 4-6 plates
in parallel. A continuous loading function allows
the user to add samples while the assay is running.

SIAS Xantus as a Solid
Phase Extraction and Filtration workstation
With SIAS Xantus as core instrument you can build a powerful,
flexible instrument solution for extraction. Xantus speEasy
is our automatic system for solid phase extraction and purification
using 96 well filtration/SPE blocks or cartridges (1-5ml).
The unique vacuum box seals without any clamps or screws.
This enables the robotic arm to open the lid, insert elution
plates or racks and exchange filtration blocks or cartridge
racks. This makes the Xantus fully automatic system capable
of processing large batches without intervention.With 2-4
or 8 independent variable spacing probes, Xantus automatically
conditions the sorbent, adds the sample, washes the column
and finally elutes the sample from the sorbent using vacuum
and/or positive pressure. Positive pressure guarantees constant,
reproducible flow rates and prevents volatile sorbents running
dry.
Xantus speEASY simple to use software runs on Windows®
operatingsystem. Xantus checks each cavity of the SPE/filter
block or cartridge to see if it has been processed correctly
and either provides a protocol or runs imperfectly processed
columns again.
The high sample capacity makes Xantus an ideal front end
for LC-MS and purification or extraction in Combinatorial
Chemistry.
